Why choose Vegan skincare?

Chances are you’ve already heard a little about vegan skincare, but the wider benefits of choosing cruelty-free vegan products are rarely discussed in detail. Here are a few compelling reasons for you to go vegan with your next beauty buy…

No animal products

Vegan beauty is 100% animal-free, with no use of animal products in everything from the skincare itself to the packaging and the ingredients which have been used to make them. That’s a pretty great reason to make the switch!

No pesticides

Vegan skincare avoids all animal products in their ingredients, which means you have much less chance of encountering pesticides while using them. Pesticides are an unfortunately added ingredient (albeit unintentionally) in so many popular beauty brand products - and can stay long after the ingredients used have been extracted and incorporated into the mix.

By going vegan with your choices, you’re able to ensure that there are no pesky pesticides clogging up your skin-friendly, eco-friendly beauty routine.

Environmentally friendly

Remaining environmentally friendly but still enjoying great beauty products is much easier than you might think. One big move towards eco-friendliness is to look at the packaging of the products you use.

Many manufacturers use plastic and non-recycled materials when packaging their products, which means that no matter how ‘good for you and good for the environment the contents are, this is another area you need to focus on carefully.

Vegan products pay particularly close attention to avoiding harmful practices at every stage, including the packaging process. You can shop with confidence, aware that your choice is good for everyone.

The cruelty-free choice

Unfortunately, most beauty products are still tested on animals. But when it comes to skincare, there are lots of ways to make your own choices a little (or a lot!) eco-friendlier. By going vegan, you can rest assured that 100% of your choices are cruelty-free.

In recent years, it has become increasingly important to beauty fans that they know the origins of the products they use. Avoiding products that have been tested on either the skin or eyes of animals is a crucial step towards supporting manufacturers which believe in a better, more natural way of testing ingredients.
